The Task & Project Vision

When beginning a major remodel, we often know what the end-product will look like, due to our years of experience; however, we are also open to adopting new approaches to meet our clients' unique desires. For this project, we were tasked with creating a modern aquatic naval theme using trusted materials known for their aesthetic and functional properties. This unique design concept required a harmonious blend of color, texture, and form to evoke the calming and invigorating essence of the sea.

Our client's chosen color palette featured greys, blues, and whites, which, when combined, evoked a sense of tranquility and openness reminiscent of an expansive seascape. We selected a 3D wavy white tile for the walls, which not only provided a modern touch but also served to mimic the gentle movement of ocean waves. The bathroom floor was composed of black speckled 12x24 tiles, offering a grounding contrast to the lighter hues and lending an air of sophistication to the space.

Custom cabinets played a significant role in achieving the desired aquatic naval look, with a cabinet tower added atop the white Calacutta quartz countertop. The combination of white cabinetry and Calacutta quartz exuded an air of timeless elegance and provided a serene backdrop for the eye-catching glass border tile. This multi-colored glass tile, which was used both as a horizontal accent and in the shower niche, introduced an additional layer of visual interest and a subtle infusion of color, reminiscent of the shimmering surface of water. A white soaking tub was installed adjacent to the cabinets, further enhancing the sense of relaxation and luxury within the space. Finally, a rectangular frameless LED light vanity mirror was installed, offering a sleek and contemporary finishing touch while amplifying the sense of brightness and depth in the room. Overall, our thoughtful selection and integration of materials successfully brought our client's vision of a modern aquatic naval theme to life.
