Modern Two Tone Kitchen
The Task & Project Vision
Our client had recently purchased a new house and sought to remodel the kitchen before moving in. The home, built in the 1950s, had experienced minimal updates over the years. Our design task was to create a classy, modern two-tone kitchen that would breathe new life into the space.
We identified an area on the opposite end of the kitchen to add cabinets, effectively expanding the available storage and enhancing the room's functionality. New custom upper and lower cabinets were installed, with the upper corner cabinet featuring a modern Lazy Susan for optimal utilization of space, and the lower cabinet equipped with an expandable hinge door for improved accessibility and convenience.
Once the custom cabinets were in place, the lower cabinets were painted in a sophisticated grey with a subtle bluish tint, while the uppers were finished in a soft off-white color, creating a stylish two-tone effect. To achieve a sense of classy elegance and ensure durability, we selected white quartz for the countertop and backsplash area, adding a refined touch to the overall design.
Additional cabinets in the nearby dining area were refaced, and cabinet doors were replaced to harmonize with the shaker style in the kitchen, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic throughout the connected spaces. We also updated the lighting system with modern switches, dimmers, and integrated LED recessed lights, enhancing the ambiance and elevating the overall design.
Our client was thrilled to see their vision come to life in their transformed kitchen, which now exudes both style and functionality, perfectly blending contemporary design elements with the home's original charm.
